For over 25 years Continental Country Club has been as host to the Florida Professional Golf Tour’s Continental Open, featuring some of the top mini-tour players in the country. In the past, players like Don "Big Break" Donatello who tied our course record of 62 and Dave Rummells have played.
In 2008 this event became a charity event to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We have raised over $7,000 for the charity in the past 2 years.
In 2009 80 pros came out to compete for prize money. The winner was Jhared Hack, who took home $3,000.
The Pro-Am portion of this event gives our members the opportunity to meet and play with the pros.
Special sponsor packages are available for individuals wishing to support the American Cancer Society and also have the opportunity to play in the event.
