Water Aerobics M,W,F 10:30-11:30 (April-October)

This class allows our residents to get the same benefits as regular aerobic workouts, like walking, running, jogging,or dancing---with much less stress on the joints and muscles. You can work at your own level whatever your abilities or restrictions, and the multi-directional resistance provides the flexibility and strength that we all need for a longer, more active life. Studies show that strength training through water aerobics can improve muscle tone, cardiac health and blood cholesterol levels. Not to mention, stay cool and socialize with some fantastic people.

Fun and Fit Class M,T, Th 9-10 (November-May)

When water aerobics season ends, we meet in the Magnolia room for a low-impact aerobics, toning and stretching class. Along with a healthy diet, this class can help you control your weight---burn calories, tone up, and feel great!

Weight Room Instruction T,Th 11-12

Do you know how to use the equipment in our new weight room---safely? Come for a few sessions to learn proper technique, learn some new exercises, and ask questions about a suitable exercise routine just for you.

Here are some reasons why weight-bearing exercise is key to an active life:
  • Helps raise your metabolism.
  • Muscle burns more calories than fat, so the more muscle you have, the more calories you'll burn all day long.
  • Strengthens bones, especially important for women
  • Makes you stronger and increases muscular endurance
  • Helps you avoid injuries
  • Increases your confidence and self-esteem
  • Improves coordination and balance
