Long-Term Planning Project for CCC

The CCC Board of Directors approved a new, long-term planning project in April 2023 by creating the Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC). The LRPC project is specifically designed to consider CCC’s needs and wants for the next two, five, ten and 25 years. The Board established a $10,000 operating budget for the LRPC project.

The CCC Board will receive an update from LRPC Board Liaison, Dick Arnold, at the next meeting on Monday, May 22, 2023, and at each subsequent monthly meeting thereafter.

The LRPC is chaired by Rick Bamberger, of 47 Big Oak Lane. Key players serving on the LRPC Steering Committee are: Randy Stegemerten, Dick Arnold, Linda Kramer, Hank Nicols and Dan Penninga.

Other participants in the LRPC effort include a number of community volunteers whose roles are still to be determined.

A key part of the early LRPC effort are two opinion surveys that will be distributed to the CCC community both electronically and by paper. The surveys are under the overall direction of Nicols, with significant assistance from Kim Hummel and Steve Newton.

These initial surveys cover subjects such as why people have chosen to live at CCC, what clubs and activities they participate in, what features they like and dislike about CCC, what services people would like from the restaurant and lounge and what future CCC development projects could possibly be pursued. Future projects could include anything from more or improved building space to new development within CCC that could possibly add housing or services not presently available.

The two surveys have been finalized and are ready for distribution. They are available in electronic form and will also be available in paper format from the CCC Administration staff. The LRPC Steering Committee hopes everyone in the CCC community will participate.

Please share these links with your CCC friends and neighbors so we can begin the data collection phase. Paper copies of the survey will be available at the administrative building by June 1, 2023. We hope to have the responses back by July 4th.
